It was with sadness that we said good-bye to Sri Lanka and to Roy, who had been our driver, guide and friend during our two-week trip in September 2006.
After much research on the internet and after contacting many local travel agents, we decided to make use of Journey Lanka Tours pvt ltd.for our travel arrangements. We have not regretted this decision for one minute. Gamage was very prompt in responding to my emails. His valuable advice, patience and professionalism with regard to our travel plans were highly appreciated.
We were met at the airport by Roy, who was to be our driver for the two week period. Roy's contribution towards ensuring that our holiday would be truly memorable is worth mentioning. He introduced us to many aspects of Sri Lanka that we would not have encountered had we been part of a large tour group. We had many interesting conversations during the hours on the road which gave us valuable insight into the culture of the people of Sri Lanka.

Siamo stati in Sri Lanka alla fine di agosto del 2006 e tramite il sito web "srilankadrivers.com" abbiamo contattato Journey Lanka Tours.
Abbiamo concordato un tour dell'isola di 5 giorni: da Colombo abbiamo visitato Sigirya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Pinnawela e ritornati a Colombo. Il nostro autista, Prema, è stato molto disponibile, amichevole e prodigo di consigli. La macchina era confortevole e con aria condizionata.
Il tour è stato molto piacevole. Vi consigliamo di prenotare gli alberghi con Lanka Tours, in quanto godono di convenzioni in grado di farvi risparmiare sulle tariffe.
Penso che sicuramente torneremo nel bellissimo Sri Lanka e che ci serviremo ancora di Journey Lanka Tours Pvt Ltd.

Me and my sister visited Sri Lanka in the beginning of August 2006. About a month in advance we searched in the Internet for tour operators who would be able to show us round the island. We found very many of them. Some however didn' t reply at all, some were awfully expensive or gave us an incomplete offer. Thus we made our way to JOURNEY LANKA TOURS PVT LTD whose offer was complete and fair from the first moment and prices very moderate. Also the communication with them was very fluent and pleasant. Our driver Roy picked us up at agreed time and we all had a great time together for the following 4 days. We saw the beutiful temples in Dambulla, the Lion Rock in Sygiria, famous Budha statues in Polonnaruwa, Myneria national park, Kandy and the fascinating tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya. In Kandy we visited the ESALA PERAHERA, a religious procession with hundreds of musicians, dancers and tens of beutifully dressed elephants. Thanks to our driver and his company we had ,unlike many others, a wonderful view of the event sitting high on the balcony.The hotels we were staying at on our journey were always clean and tidy, with own bathroom, TV and AC. The only thing we were sorry about was the time which really proved to be our enemy, it needs at least 14 days to enjoy all of the island.
We can sincerely recommend JOURNEY LANKA TOURS PVT LTD, they are nice, fair and take the best care of you without ruining your budget.

Gamage arranged a car and driver for our recent tour in Sri Lanka in Feb/Mar 2006. All of the arrangements made were excellent and the car and driver provided proved ideal for our purpose. We were able to tour all the areas we hoped to see and also saw much more thanks to our driver's knowledge and latterly Gamage's input also.
